Your sky stays with you

The Signs & Skies app works out your chart on your phone and keeps what you write there. There is no account, no ads and no tracking. This page sets out every time the app talks to anyone else, and why.

Last updated 26 October 2026

  • No account or sign in. We never ask for your email, and we do not know who you are.
  • On your phone only: your name, birth date, time and place, the people you save, your journal, intentions, mood check ins, dreams, boards, nights and collection.
  • No ads, no tracking, no analytics or crash reporting tools in the app, and nothing is sold or shared for advertising.
  • Purchases go through Apple and RevenueCat, under an anonymous id.

Who we are

Signs & Skies (“we”) is published by the developer named as the seller on the app’s App Store page. For anything about privacy, write to contact@signsandskies.com.

What stays on your phone

Everything you put into the app is stored on your iPhone, in the app’s own storage, and we never receive it:

  • Your name, birth date, birth time and birth place. You pick the place from a list of towns built into the app, so the app never asks for your location.
  • The people you save and their birth details.
  • Your journal, gratitude lists, intentions, scripting, release pages, dream log and mood check ins.
  • Your vision boards, including photos you add. Photos come one at a time through Apple’s photo picker, so the app has no access to the rest of your library. A copy of each chosen photo is kept in the app’s folder.
  • Your nights, streak, achievements, collection and settings.

Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets read the same data on your phone. Reminders are local notifications scheduled on your phone by the app; they never pass through a server.

iCloud backup

If you leave Back up to iCloud on in Settings, the app keeps a copy of your data in your own iCloud account, through Apple’s iCloud storage for apps, so a new phone can bring it back. It sits in your Apple Account under Apple’s privacy terms. We cannot see or reach it. You can turn the backup off in Settings at any time.

Deleting your data

Delete everything in Settings removes your birth details, people, nights and collection from the phone. Deleting the app removes everything it stored on the phone.

When the app goes online

The app works offline. It connects to these services only, and never sends your name, birth details, journal, boards or any other personal content to them.

The time check (signsandskies.app)

Your streak and daily unlocks depend on the date, so the app asks this website for the time. The request is a bare HEAD request for https://signsandskies.app/ with no query, no id and no custom header; the app reads only the time from the reply.

Meditation voices (signsandskies.app)

When you play a voiced meditation or a voice sample, the app downloads the audio files and a small list of available voices from this website, as plain requests for public files. Downloaded meditations are kept on your phone.

Like any website, our host Vercel receives the IP address of each request in order to answer it, and keeps standard server logs for a short time. We do not use them to identify anyone.

Image search on the board (Pixabay)

If you search for pictures while editing a board, the words you type are sent to Pixabay (pixabay.com) to find free photos, with SafeSearch on. Nothing else about you is sent with them, though Pixabay, like any website, sees the IP address of the request. A picture you choose is downloaded to your phone and saved with the name of the person who shared it. Pixabay’s own privacy policy covers what it does with requests. If you never use the search, nothing is sent.

Purchases (Apple and RevenueCat)

Signs & Skies Plus and the one off purchases are bought through Apple’s App Store. Apple handles the payment; we never see your card or your Apple Account details.

The app uses RevenueCat (revenuecat.com) to check which purchases are active and to restore them. RevenueCat receives a random anonymous id made by the app, your App Store purchase and subscription records, and basic technical details such as the app version, iOS version, locale and currency. We see the same purchase records, under that anonymous id, to run the app and count sales. They are not linked to your name, email or any account. RevenueCat’s privacy policy covers its part.

Links and sharing

Some links, such as a photo credit or Terms and Privacy on the Plus sheet, open in your browser, where that site’s own policy applies. When you share a card or a journal page, or save a board as a wallpaper, it goes only where you send it, through the iPhone share sheet or with add only access to Photos.

What we do not do

  • No advertising and no advertising ids.
  • No tracking across other companies’ apps or websites, and no data brokers.
  • No analytics or crash reporting tools in the app. If you choose to share crash reports with app developers in your iPhone settings, Apple passes anonymous crash reports to us.
  • No selling or renting of any data.

This website

signsandskies.app uses Vercel Web Analytics to count page views. It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device and does not follow you to other sites. There are no ads or other trackers on the site.

Children

The app is not made for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us what we hold about you, ask for a copy, or ask for it to be deleted. Because the app keeps your data on your phone and in your own iCloud, you hold and control nearly all of it yourself. For your purchase records with RevenueCat, write to contact@signsandskies.com and we will help. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

Changes

If the app starts handling data in a new way, we will update this page and the date at the top before that version reaches the App Store.
